I'm so pumped for tomorrow that I can hardly stand it! I've been patiently waiting for TpT to announce their Back-to-School sale dates so that I could snag some items on my wish list. The time is finally here!

The BLAST OFF Back-to-School 28% off SALE

Can you believe it? It's that time of year! 

Like every summer, this one started off with me thinking I had so much time on my hands. I certainly had time on my hands, but once July hit, the rest of the summer flew by!

At this point, I'm feeling a little bit like I don't want summer to end and a little excited, too!

Since I'm in a new school district now, I've actually been able to get into my classroom much earlier than I usually do. I've been working on things off and on since mid-July. I had a lot of organizing and thinking to do.

My mom graciously came to help me unload all of my boxes and this is what my room looked like immediately after we got everything inside...

I have made progress, but it's been a little overwhelming. I like things being organized, but sometimes I despise all the work it takes to get there!

Next week is SUPER exciting for me for two reasons though:

1) My youngest sister (11) is coming to help me decorate my room! This is a two-year tradition at this point, and I don't plan on breaking it any time soon. I'll take all the free help I can get! 

What makes this extra exciting is that I'm going to be in the same school district that she is attending! I will get to see her so much more (almost daily, in fact) and I absolutely can't wait for that. Her school is directly out that window that you barely see in the picture above.  

2) Next week is also the annual Back-to-School Sale for TeachersPayTeachers! In my store (and many others), you can save up to 28% off! I'm already anxiously preparing to buy, buy, buy!

What's In My Teachers Pay Teachers Cart - Back-to-School Sale 2013

Happy Sunday, everyone!

I can't believe that just a little over one week from today I'll be preparing for my first day of school for the 2013-2014 school year. And, it's still hard to believe that I'll be teaching FIFTH GRADE!

Oh my.

I have to say that I'm pretty proud of myself for all I've gotten done this year. As always, I wish I would have gotten more done, but I don't think there will EVER be a time where I don't wish that - who wouldn't want to have more "stuff" done if possible, right?

Most importantly, my classroom is 90% ready for the first day of school. Mostly everything has a place in my room and I'm pleased with the decorating that I've been able to get done. I can't wait to share pictures of it all!

Another thing I'm doing to prep for this school year is scouring Teachers Pay Teachers, just as I've done since I first discovered it. I always try to add things to my Wish List if they're something that I would like to consider purchasing, but I'm either a) not 100% ready to decide or b) waiting for the next big sale because it's a larger purchase.

4th of July SALE - TeachersPayTeachers Store Sale

Well, we have mostly finished moving into our new home now!!! This is the second summer in a row that we've moved (note: in Texas) in the middle of summer. It is HOT!!

We're really looking forward to having the move 100% complete so that we can get settled in our new home. I'm so thankful that this week is the 4th of July! I love it because often it gives us a break in the middle of the week.

Today was tough a tough one for me - the first day back from Thanksgiving Break!
